In honor of Greg Iggy Miller, a great 4th of July four mile run through SE Ocala, starting and ending at Veterans Memorial Park on a course that winds through the quiet, tree shaded residential neighborhood. Fast results & awards presentation. Veterans Park is located just East of 25th Ave between E. Silver Springs Blvd (SR 40) & SE Ft. King St. (MAP)
Proceeds from this event benefit the VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK and the WE CAN WEEKEND Program!! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Parking available in the Ocala Public Library Parking lot adjacent to the Veterans Park. Great goodie bags for a long as they last and runners will receive American Flags just before the finish line. Awards 3 Deep in 5 year age groups, custom awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place. First place in Open & Masters (M/F) will receive a nice American Flag to display their patriotism.

4 Miler Awards
OVERALL
Open (all ages): Top Male and Female Finisher
Masters (40+): Top Male & Female Finisher over 40
Medals will be awarded 3 deep in the following divisions for Male & Female.
AGE DIVISIONS
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
If you place in an overall division (Top Overall & Masters Male & Female), you will be removed from eligibility to win a medal in your age division. No double dipping.
Overall, Masters, and Age division medals will be awarded based on gun time at the awards ceremony on event day.
ALL 1 MILERS will receive American Flags just before the finish line. There are no placement awards for the 1 Mile event
The “Team Challenge Cup” NEW for the 2021 Freedom Run!
- Get all you peeps together and create a Team. It can be from work, church, neighborhood, gym, friends, etc.
- Go to DRCSports.com and signup for the distance of your choice, 4 Mile or 1 Mile
- When asked, list the name of your team/club/group during registration
- The team with the most registrations wins the award
