Race #2 of the Crystal River Sprint Triathlon Series is on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Crystal River Triathlon - Sprint #2 RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 12

NOTICE: The Crystal River Triathlon scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 28 has to be rescheduled. Due to Hurricane Helene, the County has closed the beach and cancelled our permit for this event. We will automatically move your Registration to Race #3 on October 12, 2024 or you can request a deferral to Crystal River Triathlon #1 on May 24 of next year. (These are your only two options. NO REFUNDS will be issued, so please don't ask. This is an act of God, beyond our control) We have already purchased the Shirts, Awards, Medals, Bib Numbers, etc... We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you will be able to make the re-scheduled date. If not, simply e-mail info@drcsports.com and request the deferral. That's the best I can do considering the short notice.

We hope that everyone remains safe and that any damage is minimal. Your safety is our primary concern and we want to see you at another event!

Storm Surge up to 15' expected. The beach will be under 10' of water! Citrus County is evacuating everyone West of US Hwy 19 and will not send crews to re-open roads and make beach repairs until Monday.

Friday September 27, 2024:

There is NO Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up on Friday.

Saturday September 28, 2024:

6:00 AM Registration & Packet Pick-up Opens
7:15AM - Registration & Transition Closes
7:30 AM - First Swim Wave Start / Duathlon Start
10:00 AM - Awards Ceremony (time is approximate)

PARKING: There are a limited number of paved parking spaces available at the beach. Additional parking is available on the roadside approaching the beach area, so arrive early!

SWIM ¼ mile in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico		BIKE 12 miles out and back on this fast and flat course, running through the pristine estuaries of West Central Florida's beautiful "Nature Coast" The entire course is paved.		RUN 3 miles out and back with water available at miles 1 and 2

DUATHLON COURSE

RUN 1 mile out and back with the turnaround at the water station. Start is simultaneous with the first wave. This race is LIMITED to 350 athletes, so be sure to register early to reserve your slot. Race entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Swim caps are provided.

USAT Event

USAT athletes must provide a valid USAT# and present their USAT card & photo ID at registration. A $50 Annual license can be purchased at www.usatmembership.com (For athletes under 17 years of age, price is $10 for an annual membership) Non-USAT licensed athletes must purchase the $15 one-day license. This is available during on-line registration.

The USAT Age rule requires that all participants race by birth year rather than their age on race day. This means your race age will be the same for all sanctioned events for an entire calendar year. The age group of a participant will be determined by age on Dec. 31 of the event year, not by age on race day. For example: If you turn 25 years old in July, you will race and be ranked in the 25-29 age group for the entire season.
