Race Day Schedule
Join us for the Inaugural MT Hearts (Empty Hearts) 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk Starting at Citrus High School. All participants will receive a custom finisher medal, awesome event shirt and commemorative bib. Plenty of food and drinks post race. 100% of proceeds from this event will go directly to programs supported by the Foundation and dear to Marlene. Read about it below.

7:05 1 Mile Walk Start
8:00 Kids Fun Run (FREE)
Not able to make the event? Do you live outside of the area but still want to support the MT Hearts Foundation? Signup for the virtual 5K Run/Walk or the virtual 1 Mile Walk and complete the distance on your own time knowing that you are supporting a great cause.
If you register for the Virtual Walk/Run, we will mail you your T-shirt, Bib number, and Finisher Medal post event!

In Loving Memory
Marlene's Story
Marlene Tobin was born on June 30, 1960 in New York City. She later made her home in Inverness, Florida, where family and community remained at the center of her life.
Marlene passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, under the loving care of her family and Hospice. MT Hearts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, created to carry her memory forward and turn the love surrounding her life into something that can serve, connect and support others.
Supporting the Metastatic Breast Cancer Community
MT Hearts Foundation is planning a special event during the third weekend of June 2027 in support of the metastatic breast cancer community and in memory of Marlene.
Through this event, we hope to bring family, friends and community members together to remember, raise awareness and give back. Additional event details, opportunities to participate and ways to support the cause will be announced
